Quality Assurance Manager/Tester (Boston, MA)

The Company: a world renown creative shop specializing in creating award-winning, cross-platform branding experiences for their Fortune 1000 clients

The Role: This is a hands-on QA position
Supervisory: Work with the team to direct technical implementation of plan; plan and schedule workload, and review staff work; ensure quality and timeliness of QA deliverables meet client expectation; coach junior staff members; and perform ongoing training activities to educate staff in quality assurance and testing. 
Testing: Develop test strategy and plan for web quality assurance; analyze test results and findings; and Lead testing hand-off meetings with programming staff. Dept. standards & process: assume leadership role in defining testing processes, testing tools, documenting and championing throughout team to ensure consistent compliance and user acceptance; and proactively update and communicate standards and processes. 
The Ideal Candidate: will have strong digital project experience, be a team player, opportunistic, have a positive attitude and illustrate excitement, curiosity, and enthusiasm for all new and emerging digital communications. Agency side experience and the ability to navigate in a fast paced, competitive, highly creative environment is a plus. Requires: 2 – 3 years of proven experience in manual and automated testing of web-based and client server applications; thorough understanding of testing methodologies, including test plan preparation, test cases/scripts, regression testing, performance/stress testing, and acceptance testing required; extensive experience in testing web-based applications, Flash, and e-commerce sites in multiple languages and browsers on Windows and Mac Operating Systems; solid understanding of web developmen t, multiple web browsers testing, multi-tier software architecture, software development life cycle, and defect (bug) tracking system; experience in web
 security testing, database marketing tracking and reporting, SEO testing, web standards, and accessibility compliance standards; experience in performance/load testing, writing testing scripts, and working with automated testing tools; experience in source control (SVN)/configuration manage ment tools is a plus; experience in web analytics is a plus. This person must be experienced in testing the design as well as the technology of all web projects. Required technologies:  JSP, PHP, Flash, JavaScript, ActionScript, XML, SOAP, MySQL, Oracle, and Web Services
