The process of walking is complex, but we cope with it by making it  
reflexive and mostly unconscious. We distribute the controlling  
intelligence farther away from the center and then forget about it.  
Make the individual sub-processes smart enough, and perhaps you can  
do the same.

Sounds like you already have at some level. Now, can you effectively  
hide that complexity from the people are going to be using the  
particular embodiment of the process you're going to make?
