Fascinating site - utterly frustrating to see the incorrect names  of the
inventors that I presume an OCR process has misread.  I tried a search on
corset, and there are a number of mistakes in the first few results
(signatures on the drawings can be easily read):

Catharine A. Griswold  is listed as both CATHARINE A. GBISWOLD and later on
CATHAEINE A. GEISWOLD

GLABA E. "WOODWORTH is Clara E. Woodworth with a nice twirl on the W

If the names themselves are used for searching the US Patent Office files,
there must be a lot of disappointed individuals.

And yes, you can search GBISWOLD or GLABA, and you do get results - I liked
the "Composition for medicating bed quilts"!
