Information Architect

Job Description

Position Summary:

Information architects help create innovative, usable Web solutions for
our clients. Our information architects work closely with our clients to
understand their business models and goals and to define strategies and
approaches for reaching them. They then work with the design team to
create Web sites that will communicate effectively and usably with their
intended audiences.

Responsibilities:

    * Works with clients to understand their business models and goals and
helps define business requirements, content, and features
    * Interviews key stakeholders to gather requirements
    * Analyzes audience segments and their information and functional needs
    * Researches and analyzes industry trends and competitive information
* Authors pieces of various strategy documents
    * Collaborates with project teams to: define strategy as well as site
architecture and navigation, map out user flow and experience and
define high-level interaction
    * Conducts ongoing usability testing and assessment
    * Defines metrics for assessing ROI
    * Acts as user advocate

Requirements:

    * Bachelor's Degree; work in human factors, HCI, information design,
industrial design, or related area strongly preferred
    * Strong knowledge of site design and usability principles, issues,
and techniques
    * Previous Web design experience
    * Ability to analyze customer needs and define strategies for meeting
them
    * Ability to organize large bodies of information
    * Ability to work with design team in a collaborative, dynamic
environment
    * Professional customer-relation skills and commitment to customer
service
    * Excellent written (i.e., writing, editing, and proofing) and oral
communication skills
    * Able to take ownership of tasks and drive them through to completion
    * Commitment to learning
    * Strong problem solving skills
    * Positive and constructive personality
