*Every* carrier sucks for *some* people in some way. AT&T is no different in
this aspect than any other carrier. Indeed, at least in the U.S., people
*expect* their phone carriers or cable companies to suck.

I predict, in short order as these things go, many more than 'some' people
will begin to compare.

That does describe the iPhone. ;-)

Jobs said that others have forgotten more than Apple knows about this
industry, so nobody expects overnight success: ergo the 1% goal.

Apple never said this is their business objective. Then again sheer market
share is not the only thing that influences market direction: witness the
Mac.
