And I'm betting you'd be right (and it would certainly be my first
choice unless the market was particularly bad) but there will always
be those whose criteria are different.

There used to be a large job board here (I'm Australian too) that
would insist that your search contained a selection from their list of
industries - as almost all industries have information management
issues, in their corporate offices if nowhere else, I would find this
a very frustrating distinction. I could never tell if I was missing
out on other stuff by picking IT (I actually think IT has very little
to do with the management of information but that's another topic).
That job board no longer exists - nuf said.
