This came as a shock to me, since while I certainly have been
less-than-eloquent on occasion, Lou and Peter Mo have over and over
again responded to criticism with a range from bewildered to mea culpa
to insightfully disagreeing. I would challenge you to go through the 7
years of archives and see if this is an accurate statement or a memory
trick. "Not Once" suggests this statement is not true -- gracious and
informed is some people's calling cards. I'm pretty sure JJG's entire
ia/recon was in response to various critiques of the day, most notably
his lab coats essay.

This is an easily solved problem by anyone willing to do the work of
analysis, rather than actually whining and throwing about
generalizations. Anyone, anyone?
