UI Architect, Los Angeles, CA | 110-120k + 10% + Stock

My client is a mobile brand dedicated to giving young, passionate
consumers the type of wireless experience we've been waiting for. They
launch in the spring of 2006 with mind-blowing devices and services and
uncompromising, straightforward pricing and customer care. 

The UI Architect will manage the user experience design of portal and
applications. Responsible for producing designs (e.g. interaction flow
diagrams) or managing external agencies in producing these designs. 

REQUIRED: 

* Candidates MUST HAVE 3-4 yrs minimum experience in a MOBILE
environment (T-Mobile, Cingular, Verizon, etc) or an MVNO (Disney
Mobile, Mobile ESPN, Amp'd Mobile, etc) or a large OEM, (Motorola,
Nokia, LG, etc.) 

DUTIES:

* Design the application user experience covering both software and
hardware related device experiences based on portal/ application
functional descriptions provided by Product Development 
* Create standardized user interface specification documentation 
* Produce interaction/ flow diagrams, use cases documentation, wire
frames / templates and visual designs, as appropriate 
* Create low-fidelity prototypes to support development and testing
process 
* Challenge functional design of application service providers in order
to improve usability 
* Recommend changes to the overall XD and information architecture to
optimize usability, usage and revenue 
* Liaise with the XD Managers to ensure alignment between off-line and
on-line experiences 
* Liaise with the Visual Design team to ensure an engaging and brand-led
user experience 
* Support user requirements gathering activities to better understand
the needs, preferences and abilities of mobile phones end users,
particularly in relation to new and future applications and services 
* Translate usability test findings into product
improvements/requirements 
* Monitor the objective performance of existing terminals Interfaces to
constantly improve the user experience 
* Prepare the functional sign off of portal/ application UI deliverables
and developments of agencies 
* Coordinate the activities of internal and external resources to ensure
quality of deliverables 
* Facilitate and drive quality implementation in time and budget
