The Web Design and Communications Team is seeking an experienced web
project lead. This team provides consulting, design, and content
management services to the Lincoln Laboratory community and facilitates
communication via the Laboratory Intranet portal and via the Lincoln
Laboratory external Web site. Will serve as the project leader and focal
point for design deliverables; work with internal clients and project
team to identify user requirements; work with project team members to
translate requirements into design; define user experience, including
site structure and navigation; create wireframes or prototypes of site
mockups; work closely with designers to ensure correct and timely
implementation; and code Web pages using XHTML and CSS.
Bachelor's degree in IT-related area or equivalent experience. Candidate
must have 1-3 years of experience in Web design or development and
project management. Experience working with multiple clients or projects
simultaneously is required. Experience in producing wireframes or paper
prototypes, working on Intranets, and in user-centered design is
desired. Candidate must possess skills in the following areas: Web
project management; gathering, defining, and communicating requirements;
information architecture; oral and written communications; advanced HTML
and CSS; and Microsoft Office, including MS Project. Proficiency in
Macromedia Dreamweaver is desired. Candidate must be highly organized
and detail-oriented, and possess the ability to thrive in a team
environment. This is a 2-year assignment with a benefits package. There
is a possibility for transition to regular full-time status.
