Heh. I've seen the same effect on many lists over the last decade ... one
person dominates discussion, and when they go absent the list doesn't
recover very well. It's not a good thing, and in an "ideal" world, yes,
people would rush in to start their own threads.

Damn users, why don't they behave logically? Don't they realise that our big
vision design is more important than the messy reality of how users really
behave?
