Agreed. Not only do I not see the point, but the Web 2.0 functionality
is downright buggy - for example, using the little horizontal slider,
I have been able to get it to display results 12-11 of 83 (sic) in
under 30 seconds of use. Also, the thinness of the vertical slider
reduces the area available for clicking on the parts above/below the
arrows, which is how I often scroll. A very annoying and superficial
design.
