Contract Information Architect

The Opportunity:

A beginning to mid-level Information Architect to work on a team  
developing a large scale consumer website. The position is  
responsible for defining user requirements, creating wireframes and  
HTML mockups, designing interaction flow, writing documentation, and  
liaising with a small team of developers, both on site and remote. If  
you love writing documentation, this is an opportunity for you.

The Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of web experience,  
including at least 2 years in the field as an Information Architect.

• In-depth knowledge and experience of user interface design  
principles for interactive media
• User-focused interaction design skills
• Understanding of the key issues of designing interactions for sales- 
driven web sites
• Translating business requirements into workable solutions
• Familiarity with creating IA deliverables such as flow diagrams,  
site maps, wireframes and functional requirement documents
• Strong writing skills for creating user interface specifications
• Strong grounding in technology issues, especially large-scale  
relational databases
• Work within a team environment

The ideal candidate should be familiar with the following tools and  
technologies:
• HTML
• CSS
• AJAX

• Acrobat
• Photoshop
• Dreamweaver
• Visio and/or Omnigraffle

Contract User Interface Designer, User Interface Engineer

The Opportunity:

An User Interface Designer/Engineer to work on a team developing a  
large scale consumer website. The position is responsible for  
developing screens based on requirements, making changes to existing  
screens, solving issues with CSS and HTML design, and liaising with a  
small team of developers, both on site and remote.

The Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of web experience,  
including at least 2 years in the field as an Web Designer or User  
Interface Engineer.

• In-depth knowledge and experience of user interface design  
principles for interactive media
• Translating business requirements and wireframes into workable  
solutions
• Strong grounding in technology issues
• Work within a team environment
• Expert knowledge of CSS and HTML, and knowledge of how to solve  
cross-browser issues

The ideal candidate should be familiar with the following tools and  
technologies:
• HTML
• CSS
• AJAX
• Java (familiarity, but not necessarily development knowledge)

The ideal candidate should be familiar with the following tools and  
technologies:
• Acrobat
• Photoshop
• Dreamweaver
• Subversion
