Hi Ziya,

I've used:
- options/position papers to record discussed alternatives, and
- future requirements documentation to hide 
desirable-but-we're-not-ready-for-it-here-yet options.
In other words, used the deliverables culture to create something that 
will be of potential use to those that follow.

The trick is to have an organisation that is advanced enough along the 
organisational documentation evolutionary scale to enable reuse of the 
bright ideas so recorded. This cannot be taken as a given :)

I agree that what almost made it last time but was dismissed owing to 
technological, organisational or spinal deficit syndrome can hold the 
keys to a solution.
