Actually, if you're going to use the movie analogy, the strategic vision
belongs to the producer -- the person who makes sure that the director
doesn't go too far awry in the application of what/how and misses the
original 'why'...the thing that will keep the investors happy and will sell
at the boxoffice.
 
To really do the 'global perspective' of the strategy, we'd be playing the
role of the producer.
