NYC IxDA IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE
Adam Greenfield Discusses Ubiquitous Computing

From smart buildings that subtly adapt to the changing flow of
visitors, to gesture-based interfaces like the ones seen in Minority
Report, computing no longer looks much like it used to. Increasingly
invisible but present everywhere in our lives, computing has moved
off the desktop and out into everyday life–affecting almost every one
of us. In this talk, Greenfield will explain how such "information
processing dissolving in behavior" is reshaping our lives.

PUT IT ON THE CALENDAR: COMING IN APRIL
Come to WireFARM '06 and share your prototyping techniques!
Interaction Designers use many tools to mock-up user interfaces,
including paper and pencil, PowerPoint, Visio, Dreamweaver,
Photoshop, and Fireworks. We also tend to grow our own techniques,
and rarely have a chance to share them. We will feature presentations
from local designers, each showing off current best practices in
prototyping. (We are looking for presenters. If you are interested in
giving a short (10-minute) presentation on your techniques, please e-
mail a short proposal to nyc at ixda.org. Please include the tool you
intend to use and the type of prototype you would like to demonstrate.)

But that's not all! In addition to these community presentations, we
will be featuring an exclusive demonstration for our NYC IxDA chapter
by Microsoft of their new interaction design software, Expression.

Are you excited?? We are!!
