The current session of 4-week online workshop "Creating Website Indexes"
offered through Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information
Science Continuing Education Program is finishing up this week. The next
time it will be offered will be in November.

In the meantime, all the material covered in this workshop, plus additional
lessons are being offered independently through Hedden Information
Management. An additional session on using the tools HTML Indexer and
XRefHT32 (which had temporarily been removed from the independent course
offerings, so as not to compete with the Simmons workshop) has now been
added for a limited time as Course 4 "HTML Indexing Tools". Complete
descriptions can be found at http://www.hedden-information.com/courses.htm .
All sessions are now self-paced and can be started at any time. Students
create their own web site A-Z indexes with individualized instructor
feedback.

There will also be an in-person half-day post-conference workshop based on
all online course lessons at the conference of the American Society of
Indexers, on Saturday, June 17, 2006, in Toronto. While there is less time
for participants to actually create their own web site indexes with
individualized instructor feedback, participants get to see live demos of
the software tools and take turns trying out basic functions of the tools.
Details are at http://www.hedden-information.com/workshop.htm
