We have reached agreement!

where we differ however is that you are looking from the point of view
of asking who "excludes" and I am looking at those who "intentionally
include" and who articulate how, why, and where they do that
inclusion. The above paragraph finally gets to the guts of it.

I would also say that "empathy" is not always a positive so while I
like it, I also see that it gets in the way ... probably back around
to the start of this thread somewhere.
