Boeuf a la moutarde? Hmm. :-)
The beauty of metadata is that it can be *related*. That is, we can make
connections based on language (mustard = moutarde), activity (cooking),
people (your mother), places (kitchen), modifiers (spices), etc. Then the
"Google effect" kicks in where the "unknowns" are "filled in" by
related/relatable data without having to tag.
Does she mention mustard in other videos? Are there any other videos where
the connection mustard = moutarde is made? Can we facet through moutarde,
instead of boeuf? Do we have access to Livia's favorite dishes and/or
spices? Is it listed in your "profile" and/or Amazon wishlist? Do you blog
about boeuf a la moutarde and even mention how your mother's version is
still the best? Have you been Googling for the best places to get boeuf a la
moutarde in Philly recently? How many times have you been to Le Bec Fin or
Lacroix last month? And so on... :-)
In other words, once we have auto-metadata and a Google-like relationship
discoverer video becomes as transparent as text in terms of discovery and
navigation. To hell with the Neanderthal TV grids, finally!

Yep, bloody unlikely.
