Ah, but that's not a problem with Personas, that's a problem with a  
poor, not-well-defined-process behind creating personas. That's an  
implementation problem, not a tool problem.

Perhaps if we had a better guide for creating personas this would be  
less of an issue.

We find the same thing in Marketing Research - a great deal of it is  
crap. Not because MR is crap, but because a lot of people doing it  
don't seem to know how to do it correctly. In the end, poor  
implementation leads to bad product (design).
