Geez!!! There's no such thing as good OR bad design in the abstract. You
can't "chose" bad design. Odd Lot may have a *different* design than GAP.
But that doesn't make Odd Lot's design "bad."

Design can produce *undesired* results, at variance with business goals.
THAT's bad design, whether it was high-brow/low-brow, minimalist/grunge,
fussy/slick or whatever visual contrast you might want to draw is not the
primary issue here. Only a non-designer would attempt to divorce design from
business!

Design is a *solution* to a problem. There are good solutions and bad
solutions. There are no good or bad designs per se.
