We've created a little Wiki with information on automated remote usability,
moderated remote usability, online card sorting, and web surveys. Anyone can
edit (no account needed): http://remoteusability.com/
It has a basic listing of the different tools right now, but so far nothing
on log file analytics, which folks are welcome to add if they feel like it
falls under automated remote testing.
We've done a number of studies lately with 10 lab users (Morae), 20 remote
moderated users (ethnio), 1,000 remote automated users (RelevantView), and
4,000 web survey (ugh) respondents. It's been helpful to compare results
across all four methods for a single test design.
