How could automated testing test time on page, 
success  rate/abandonment, paths, etc ? Surely 
these are only relevant to  human users. 

Log file analysis programs have various options to 
look at real  usage.  

As for automated testing, you are really only 
interested in delays  and errors from web locations 
where you have customers.
