This is an EXTREMELY important statement.

In many many cases, I find the use of Javascript to be a bit of a cop- 
out, or some form of job security created by integrating complex,  
undocumented JavaScript functionality into an app.

I readily admit to a personal bias against JavaScript which is  
essentially framed by Tom's argument.
