[Sigia-l] 2005 Dublin Core Conference - Madrid - Sept 12-15

The Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI) is pleased to announce that its 
annual international conference for 2005 will be held in Madrid, Spain, 
September 12 through 15. The program will focus on "Vocabularies in 
Practice" and includes keynotes by Thomas Baker, Ricardo Baeza, Johannes 
Keizer and Eric Miller, presentations of 36 papers and project reports, a 
series of tutorials on metadata basics and numerous working group meetings. 
Topics covered include application profiles, corporate digital asset 
management, interoperability, accessibility, Semantic Web applications and 
others.

The Dublin Core Metadata Initiative is an open forum engaged in the 
development of interoperable online metadata standards that support a broad 
range of purposes and business models. DCMI's activities include
