Consider a big metaphorical bag of stuff. Some of it is noise, some of it is
data. What distinguishes the noise from the data? Data are those things
which can be used as evidence of relationship between two things, an
attribute which noise does not have. You can thus sort the noise from the
data.

Earlier you asked if there was something *between* data and information ...
perhaps you should ask yourself if there is something between *noise* and
information.
