I'm glad you mentioned this. I'd seen it earlier and thought it
was a good read. I didn't think much of the tech they noted, but
it's a good question since I think the web has changed my reading
habits much.

I wonder if it could be something like the way iTunes is changing the
way the music industry works. Books could become smaller and more
malleable. Who knows..

There was a time I was the traditionalist and would say a book is a
book and I have to hold it in my hands. But after long being a fan
of O'Reilly's Safari online books, I've been reformed.
Maybe it's not so much directing or engineering the reading
experience so much as changing it for or even catering to the reader.
