I'd say Big IA is more holistic, that's why I tried to link the two. To make
the distinction clearer, in the article I suggested to call Big IA "UX" and
introduced "deep", "shallow/guerrilla" and "business" IA.

Exactly, UX is holistic :-)

Well, it's part of the idea that the whole is more than the sum of the
parts; by working together as a team, we can create better things, or the
same things faster.

That depends on your definition of IA, and we're not (I repeat: NOT) here to
discuss that right now :-)
