and there are still millions of users who aren't using it. unless
your target market specifically addresses only broadband users, you
probably still have to deal with hundreds or thousands or millions of
users who are on dial-up.

I don't think it's entirely that simple, but as I've said I agree
with the effectiveness.
Frankly, I consider HTML mail a crutch for creating decent layouts -
it takes me less work, because I can use HTML rather than relying on
ASCII formatting, which is time consuming (in addition to being less
versatile.)
