Hi Ziya,
I would have said, 'there are any number of brain-damaged ways to handle
CVs, but only one that the users will appreciate using - file upload'.
I've used some of the 'online resume builder' apps and I have to say
that this is one of the reasons I chose to become a permanent employee -
they are generally slow, awkward, counter-intuitive, and generally suck.
While it is not just about CVs - a good example of how not to gather
biographic data for those that want to experience grief, frustration,
and pain, or can't believe that it is really that bad - go to
https://jobs.nsw.gov.au/Start.asp, pick a job at random, and start
applying for it. Page after page, form after form, gruesome! :)
I wonder if there should be a website dedicated to crimes against
humanity that have been perpetrated in the name of 'we have a database,
we need the data to fit into standard format, let's make a bunch of web
forms'?
Best regards, Andrew
