[Sigia-l] readability and contextual linking

I had re-stumbled across the Wichita State Software Usability Research
Laboratory (SURL) reports the other day.

There are two "Where to put the links" studies:

Not surprisingly a belt & suspenders strategy (embedded and called-out)
tested best....but....their sample pages didn't test the question with
other navigation systems competing for layout space.
