According to one site [1] the share of internet users on Win OSes for
Dec 2004 is: Win XP 59.8 + Win 2000 23.5 + Win 98 5.4 + Win NT 1.1 =
Ttl - 90%

I'm on Win 98 and my WMP works fine for http://music.msn.com [which
requires at least version7]

I agree but don't think that would account for such a huge discrepency
[40%].
