This may be overkill, but just so you know about this as a resource:
www.ethnologue.com

*All* the world's languages (e.g., 176 living languages in the U.S.). Poking
around the summary pages for the countries you most want to serve would at
least let you inventory the languages in each with significant populations
of speakers. There is also a bibliography on the site, which I haven't
explored.
