Hi!
Just FYI, we use this in Europe: http://www.mappy.com. Being used to
mappy, Google Maps didn't excite me that much... also, I made some
tests that ended up with strange results:
"Central Park", NY (even with the commas) cannot point to the
expected location.
Inifinite Loop 1, Cupertino, California, finds the right address on
the map (this is Apple's addres, BTW). But if you go to somewhere in
SF, and then use "Infinite Loop 1, Cupertino, California" as de
destination of a journey, Google Maps cannot find it.
The interface has some good and bads compared to Mappy. For ex, you
may quickly introduce the start and end point of a jorney on the first
page. In google, you must find the start point, and then type the end
point. Not very useful. On the other side, you may change the start or
end point anytime (they are on the top of the page). On mappy, you must
return to the first page.
Also, mappy has more info (Hotels, churches, hospitals, subway
stations, gas pumps, etc) and the way traffic goes on one-way streets.
