Sure. You can have word/phrase associations entered manually (by a taxonomy
person) and wired fairly trivially by a DBA. Or you can buy the association
lists (for obvious fields like finance, medicine, legal, etc). Or you can
buy comprehensive solutions that combine such custom lists with algorithmic
extraction of entities/concepts and on-the-fly associations like:

An entire firm would be overkill; a single IA should be able to do this
