'introductory' doesn't mean "I'm fresh out of school and I know nothing"

* Peter Van Dijck's book 'Information Architecture for Designers' is a
great intro book on IA for folks who have been designing already but
haven't really dealth with complicated informational problems. It's a
great way to get designers started on the topic - I used it to make a
team of graphic designers understand how my team could help them, but
they said it was more valuable because they became interested in certain
aspects of IA that were areas they wanted to improve their skills on.

* I would argue that even though IA for the WWW is not an introductory
book to IA, it is a good introductory book for Librarians expanding into
IA practice - they already know all the technical details of the tools
of the trade, but the book contextualizes them in a different setting
from what they are used to working on.
