BTW, here's a much more interesting, informative, compelling, graphic and
yet compact version of semi-opaque sectional navigation (see, I too can
create fatuous phrases :-) at C|Net News:

Play with the little graphic box "In other news" by clicking on the arrows
at the bottom to *see* prev/next stories in the section. With asynch data
I/O this shouldn't even add much to page weight.
