[Sigia-l] Pharma websites: the importance of a caregiver link on the homepage

from the usability research projects i've done on live (not in design/
production) drug web sites, i've noticed users (patients, caregivers,
nurses, doctors) look in both sections, if there are two sections, to
make sure they aren't missing something.

for those that have separate sections for nurse/doctor/
medicalprofessional and for patient/caregiver, the links are usually

medical professional or healthcare professional or professionals or
doctors or pharmacists or nurses

patient or caregiver or consumers or patients

for example, here are some web sites for amgen products that have
separate links on the homepage:

www.aranesp.com
www.enbrel.com
www.epogen.com
www.kepivance.com
www.kineretrx.com
www.neulasta.com
www.sensipar.com
