[Sigia-l] is it just me, or is it really hard to find IAs right now?

I agree! I graduated with a Masters in Human Computer Interaction a year and a half ago and haven't found work.....I have no direct experience in the field, only 20 years of business/system implementation/manufacturing experience.

If NY is like the UK I think that a large part of the
problem is that companies are unwilling to invest in
graduates, so the supply of experienced IA's is
limited, as it too hard to get on the first run of the
ladder, even with relevant degree's or masters.

So it is hard to recognise complaints about the lack
of good experienced IA's from a company that doesn't
take on fresh graduate IA's (most it would seem).
Companies that I have worked for that have taken on
graduates seem to get very good value from them.
