Topic: Where Design Meets Data--
Integrating Usability Insights with Web Performance Metrics
Presenter: Bill Drummy, founder and CEO of Heartbeat Digital
The qualitative value of usability testing is immeasurable,
irreplaceable, and... incomplete. Even the best usability process needs to
be validated against quantitative performance measures. Relying on either
qualitative insights or quantitative measurement alone leaves you vulnerable
to enormous gaps in your strategic planning and implementation.
In this presentation, Heartbeat Digital CEO Bill Drummy provides a
real-world example of how rigorous usability testing and careful data
analysis were combined to produce a website that both won multiple awards,
and met measurable business goals: The case: the redesign of the entire
web presence for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, one of the world's
great hospitals.
