I'm not using DC at the BBC, possibly because it doesn't
have the richness of description that I need (and bit of a
bad reaction at the beginning to the AACR2'ness of it).
Though I have the BBC Archivists talking about it as the
standard - it's a good starting point for them.

At the BBC we have two other standards I need to comply
with for data exchange:
1. SMEF http://www.bbc.co.uk/guidelines/smef/
2. TV anytime http://www.tv-anytime.org/

I am particularly focusing on these standards because I am
now interfacing and hopefully influencing the design of
broadcast systems. The work I am doing on metadata and
content modelling for the web is demanding more from
btroadcast systems that "playout" tracks and programmes and
haven't explicitly thought about describing it for reuse,
programme schedules, and PVRs. This is changing and that's
whay I am trying to ensure that I meet these company and
industry wide standrds.
