Hey, has anyone conducted usability tests on English-only or
English-with-some-translated-text sites, with users who are non-native
speakers of English?

I will be testing a prototype site (HTML with working nav but no final
art)that consists of the homepage, some top-level pages, and enough
screens to support a few basic tasks. I'll use a "think aloud" protocol
and will have a translator with me to help introduce and interpret.
(Background: The site will be part of an English language instruction
program).

I'm interested in hearing about any tips or caveats from people who've
done testing with non-native speakers, so that I can make the best use
of my time with representative users. I'll also share what I learn when
my testing is finished.

Thanks!

Elizabeth
