Ah! what you are talking about is aggregate and subscription
management and Royalty management. And yes there are product suites
out there that do all these things:
Document Management
Workflow Management
Content Management
Web Publishing
Digital Asset Management
Digital Rights Management (or security)
Royaly Management
Taxonomy Management (or Content Intelligence)
Subscription Agregation and Distribution
Portal Management
Collaboration
blah blah blah and more.
All these things are usually put under the title of Enterprise Content
Management or ECM. I'm sure there are others.
As I'm typing this in GMail my search entries for this thread are:
AIIM
Interwoven
Document Solutions Inc.
Documentum
The sponsored links are not quite as relavent.
I think the most useful place is AIIM as the main ECM association at
leat in the US.
BTW, I was a Sr. UI Designer at Documentum ... I've tried to be
impartial, but you should be aware of my bias. ;)
