Hi everyone,
I was recently at a BayCHI seminar about web applications & widgets replacing HTML. Part of their
arguement was that webusers are more sophisticated - that they can handle uncommon interfaces, and
are not afraid to try new modes of navigation.
That to me raised the question - are they really. Or is it a moving target, since there are more
new web users coming in and replacing the once-inexperienced users.
What is your take on it.
A couple of years ago there was a statistic published that as much as 60% of the users to the
Yahoo portal went and typed in URLs in Yahoo's search box. Does anyone know who the source behind
that was, and what the current estimate may be.
Cheers,
Subir
