From a logic point of view you still have the same problem. The hook will
still be facing one way or the other, it just means you can rotate your shirts!
What you need is a hook that doesn't have a front or back, doesn't need to
be unlatch and can still be moved along the rail. Oddly enough I was
thinking about this a few days ago and after thinking of the contraptions
that attach people to safety lines I realised that we may be stuck with the
hook back or forward problem for the for seeable future. Not unless you
want to use strong magnets.
