[Sigia-l] Visio 2003 > PDF using transparency

I am using Visio 2003 and some of my shapes are partially-transparent.
The problem arises when I try to Print to PDF using Acrobat 4 or 6: the
transparencies come through as hatched lines and the PDF takes forever
to be created and to display in Reader. Does anyone have a work-around
or fix for this? Adobe, Microsoft, and Google all failed me before I
resorted to emailing this list. Thanks much in advance for any help.

If there is a solution, I'll post it to the IA wiki or the like.
