so what? an css editor has nothing to do with "little" IA-- it doesn't help
you make a classification scheme of any sort-- nor big IA, since it doesn't
help you do interaction design, nor experience design nor information
design. it helps you implement design-- either for testing or for
deployment.

With this logic, this list is now exactly the same as any of a number of
really excellent technical lists and general web design lists, and thus
loses its ability to attract IA specialists because the noise becomes too
high (note peter me and jjg's recent grumblings ). Eventually these folks do
unsubscribe as other more dedicated lists arise as an alternative, and this
list becomes newbies talking to newbies, flamers flaming each other, and
discussions of dhtml object properties. Which might be nice for some, but it
certainly isn't about IA. By being a little strict, and by marking posts
that are tangentially related to IA to help with the signal to noise issue,
we can keep the list diverse and robust and meeting more folks needs from an
IA list.

the addition of a little [OT] in the subject line causes so little overhead
for a poster, and helps so much the volume of mail that it seems little to
ask.

I think it is plenty on-topic. Someone with strong knowledge of CSS can
create multiple working prototypes quite fast.
