[Sigia-l] UI job requirements

I find that a lot of times, the people writing these announcements are taking a list of ideal features and throwing them together. The problem is, they give off the impression that all of these things are requirements. Heck, half the time, they don't even know what they're saying! I remember reading one job announcement looking for someone with 15 years' experience with HTML! (paying, BTW less than $35k) There's one person on earth with that much HTML experience...
I find it odd that they want a written Java skills evaluation for a lead interface designer. I would view those as completely separate. In fact, there's no way I'd let my programmers design a UI. That's bad management. You don't put your best quarterback in left tackle position.
