for major operators is expanding, with backing from top-tier VC firms. We're
looking for world-class software engineers at the senior level. Experience
with successful live e-commerce sites a plus. Requirements: At least 5 years
Java J2EE experience; 2:1 or above in Computer Science or related
discipline, MSc preferred. Experience with at least 3 of the following:
WebLogic or JBoss; Oracle; EJB including message-driven beans; XSLT;
High-availability/clustered environments.

Java Applications Deployer - Ref 2602 - London - £30,000-£32,000
 
The role is to support application deployment and development within a J2EE
environment. Within that framework, this is a combination of Deployment and
Administration, although an emphasis on deployment. Day to day activities
will involve ensuring the successful delivery and deployment of Java
applications to the servers, general administration and maintenance, as well
as providing documentation and support for applications. The successful
candidate will possess the following skills:2/3 years experience of Java
applications either in a development or administrative position; JSP;
Solaris 8.1; Good understanding of the administration of application
servers, particularly BEA Weblogic 6.1 & 8.1; Understanding of database
technology, particularly Oracle 8.1 and 9i; Some knowledge and experience in
J2EE and other Java related technologies such as J2ME would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following primary
functions: Deploy Java applications to servers as required (currently 4/5
per week); Maintain work schedules and deployment plans, and communicate
these to key people within the company; Troubleshooting maintenance when
problems arise on the application servers; Preventative administration to
limit issues and potential problems.

Contract Java Developer - 3 months - London
 
Our client is a successful technology business with an immediate requirement
for 2 contractors (3 months+) to work on a high profile product.
 
Your experience should include the following:
Educated to degree level
At least 4 years experience of Java
Strong programming skills in Java are essential. Knowledge of servlets,
Javabeans, J2EE, Enterprise Javabeans, and/or Java Server Pages
Strong OO design
Experience of IBM/BEA/ATG Portals an advantage
Experience of Web browsers, markup languages and W3C protocols 
Exposure to relational databases and related tools 
Experience with a range of Unix/Linux scripting languages
Some combination of Unix shell, tcl and perl preferred.
Ability to work within a structured team environment
Proven experience to design from an architectural specification is required.
