The kind of front-end I'm talking about would be in HTML + either JavaScript
or, for the mono-culture afflicted, VB Script. It would involve no SAP
programming; almost like a web service.
On the other hand, macros are platform specific, often brittle in practice
and have to be downloaded and managed on the client side. If this workflow
is complex, which sounds like it (otherwise why spent so much money on SAP
:-), then the macros will not be so easy either.
Then again, no priorities for this project was mentioned, is it time? Money?
Man power?
