Something about free speech? Oh, never mind; he's just one of the
first in a line of people who gets fired until either a) we all get
it, and are more careful about what we say, or b) the corporations
find out that they need not be so paranoid over a thing just because
it is new. It is the same old story.

I agree that history is full of examples of beheaded people that spoke
without thinking, but in this case the beheadee had put some thought
into it, had suggested counter-meassures to fix the problem, but no
sir. And it is that stubborn corporate hardness which made this story
so talked about.
And in this case, there *really* was no secret information; he was
beheaded to set an example. It means nothing to them, but a great
deal to him.
